About the Role:

We are currently seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to join a network of leading care providers in Pontefract and surrounding areas on a temporary / flexible basis. In this rewarding role, you will contribute to creating a warm, nurturing environment where residents feel safe, valued, and empowered to live their lives to the fullest. Your efforts will directly impact their well\-being and help them thrive in a supportive, person\-centred setting.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist residents with personal care; including bathing, dressing, and toileting.


• Support mobility and transfers using appropriate equipment such as hoists or walking aids.


• Assist with feeding and ensuring residents receive the appropriate nutrition and hydration.


• Record vital signs and update care records.


• Encourage independence and engage residents in activities to promote well\-being.


• Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with residents and families.


• Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.


• Follow care plans and report any changes in residents’ conditions.


• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high\-quality care.


• Adhere to health, safety, and confidentiality policies.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in a care home environment.


• Trained to use hoists and other moving \& handling equipment.


• A caring, compassionate, and empathetic attitude.


• Excellent timekeeping and communication skills.


• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.


• Flexible approach, sensitive to the needs of residents.


• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and their families.


• Medication training is beneficial but not essential.


• A valid UK driving license is preferred as you will be expected to travel between different care clients.

Shift Patterns: Mornings, Afternoons, Long Days, and Nights.

Pay Rate: £14\.24 to £16 per hour (including holiday pay) dependent on client, location \& shift type.

Employment Type: Ongoing Temporary Role / Flexible to Your Schedule.
