Health Care Assistant
We are looking for compassionate, reliable and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our growing team. You will provide high\-quality person\-centred care to individuals in care homes, supported living services and within their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.
Whether you are an experienced care worker or looking to begin a rewarding career in health and social care, full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
- Support individuals in accordance with their personalised care plans.
- Promote independence while respecting each person's dignity, choices and preferences.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to improve wellbeing.
- Prompt or assist with medication in accordance with company policies and training.
- Maintain accurate electronic care records using the company's IT systems.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, service users and their families.
- Accompany or transport service users to appointments, community activities and outings where required.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
- Assist with light domestic duties to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in health and social care is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic care records.
- A caring, compassionate and professional approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
