Assistant Management Accountant (Full Time)
Overview of the Role
Here at QUEST Personal Care, we are looking for a proactive and detail\-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will support the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reporting and commercial analysis, while assisting in maintaining robust financial controls across the business.
The role will provide exposure to all areas of management accounting, with a particular focus on inventory accounting, stock valuation and landed cost reporting within our import and distribution business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop their management accounting skills within a fast\-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
*Management Accounting*
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Assist with the preparation of month\-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation and inventory adjustments.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
- Support the month\-end close process and reporting deadlines.
- Support the accounting of inventory movements across the business.
- Prepare monthly stock valuations and inventory reconciliations.
- Assist with landed cost calculations, ensuring freight, duty and import costs are accurately allocated.
- Investigate inventory variances and resolve discrepancies.
- Support warehouse teams during stock counts and annual stock takes.
- Monitor stock provisions, write\-offs and obsolete inventory.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to improve inventory accuracy and controls.
- Maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with internal audit requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
- Build effective internal working relationships with Merchandising, Fulfilment, Supply Chain and Warehousing teams.
- Provide support across the Finance team during month\-end and other key reporting periods.
- Provide cover for colleagues within the Finance department when required.
- Good understanding of management accounting principles.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP; Power Query desirable).
- Experience using SAP (essential) or another ERP system.
- Good understanding of inventory accounting and cost allocation.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Studying towards or part\-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- 3–5 years’ experience in an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Finance Analyst role.
- Experience supporting month\-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
