Female Healthcare Assistant – Complex Care
Location: Lewisham, Ladywell \& Catford
Pay: From £13 per hour
Positions Available:
- 20\-hour contract for drop\-in/short\-call visits
- Full\-time position working alternate day shifts
We are looking for compassionate, experienced, and reliable Female Healthcare Assistants to join our complex care team. You will be supporting a client with complex healthcare needs in their own home, providing high\-quality, person\-centred care while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
Applicants must be flexible and able to work a mixture of day shifts and drop\-in visits. Availability to work at least two weekends per month is essential.
This role is open to female applicants only due to the client's personal care needs and preferences.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare or care setting
- Experience supporting individuals with complex care needs
- Skilled and experienced in:
- Moving and Handling
- PEG Feeding
- Non\-Invasive Ventilation (NIV)
- Suctioning
- Personal Care
- Completed the Care Certificate or equivalent induction training
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Must reside in or around Lewisham, Ladywell, or Catford
- Flexible and able to work day shifts and drop\-in visits
- Available to work at least two weekends per month
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Deliver high\-quality personal care while maintaining dignity and respect
- Support the client with complex clinical interventions, including PEG feeding, NIV support, and suctioning
- Assist with mobility and moving and handling in accordance with care plans
- Monitor and report changes in the client's health and wellbeing
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, and health and safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals
