Health and Safety Consultant (Short-Term Project)
LOCATION: Bromley and surrounds (on\-site at the Hub/garden/repair venues)
RATE: £350 per day
TIMEFRAME: Approx. 3–4 days
ESTIMATED TOTAL: £1,050–£1,400 (depending on final scope)

Greener and Cleaner is a grassroots, community\-led charity based in Bromley. Founded in 2019 by local residents, we support people and organisations to take practical action on climate change and sustainable living at home, at work and in their communities.
We have grown from a volunteer\-led initiative into a thriving community charity, with thousands of engaged members and volunteers. We are a collaborative organisation, working closely with our team, volunteers and wider community to create inclusive, non\-judgemental spaces that encourage learning, participation and behaviour change.
We are looking for a consultant to support us in reviewing and strengthening our health and safety practices across our Hub and wider activities.
This short\-term project will focus on identifying risks, reviewing current processes, and ensuring we have clear, practical systems in place to support a safe environment for staff, volunteers and visitors.
Objectives:
- Review current health and safety practices and identify areas of risk
- Ensure appropriate processes are in place to support safe day\-to\-day operations
- Strengthen confidence across the team in managing health and safety responsibilities
- Carry out a review of current health and safety practices, documentation and processes
- Identify risks and areas for improvement across organisational activities, including Hub operations, events, DSE assessments and individual risk assessments
- Develop clear, practical recommendations to strengthen compliance, safety and day\-to\-day working practices
- Provide guidance and recommendations that can be embedded into day\-to\-day operations and longer\-term organisational planning
- A summary of findings highlighting key risks and recommendations
- A clear, practical action plan to address identified issues
- Supporting documentation or guidance for ongoing use
