We are delighted that you are considering applying for this post. This is an opportunity for a dynamic manager and leader who is passionate about making a difference to students’ lives, ensuring they receive the best support, guidance and coaching to enable them to positively progress through their Runshaw journey and onto their chosen next steps.
The programme is led by three Heads of Studies (one Pre\-Advanced and two Advanced) who oversee the design and quality of the pastoral curriculum, alongside the wider performance and outcomes of the vocational and technical provision. This includes responsibility for achievement, value added, high grades, attendance, retention and learner voice, supported through a range of quality strategies.
They lead on pastoral support and positive behaviour approaches, and act as quality nominees for awarding organisations. Heads of Studies also manage a team of highly qualified, proactive Progress Mentors, ensuring high levels of engagement, progress, attendance, retention and punctuality through targeted support and guidance, working to remove barriers to learning, promote participation, enhance learning, raise aspirations and enable all students to achieve their full potential.
