Systems \& Network Training is a specialist provider of technical IT, networking, telecoms, infrastructure and engineering training. We provide instructor\-led training to organisations across the UK and internationally, including public scheduled courses, live virtual delivery, onsite courses and bespoke training solutions.
Unlike many training providers, we write and develop much of our own course material. Our courses are focused on technologies rather than specific products, and we have a strong reputation for high\-quality training with corporate clients across sectors including defence, transport, internet infrastructure and broadcast. Clients have included organisations such as MOD, MBDA, Siemens, Heathrow, Virgin Media, LINX, BBC and Sky.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced, commercially focused Head of Sales to take day\-to\-day ownership of the sales function and help the business continue to grow.
The key purpose of this role is to run the sales function so the Managing Director is no longer the day\-to\-day sales manager, while still retaining strategic oversight of the business.
This is a hands\-on sales leadership role, not a purely managerial position. Approximately 70% of the role will be sales focused, combining personal selling, account development and management of a portfolio of client and prospect accounts. The remaining focus will be on team leadership, forecasting, pipeline management, process improvement, practical marketing input and close coordination with Operations.
The successful candidate will lead a small sales team, drive revenue growth, improve sales processes and work closely with Operations to ensure an excellent client experience from enquiry through to course delivery.
Office\-Based Role
This is an office\-based role Monday to Friday near Redhill, Surrey. Regular office presence is an essential requirement because the role involves day\-to\-day management of a small sales team, close coordination with Operations, sales process discipline and real\-time support on client opportunities. Flexible working requests will be considered in line with company policy and statutory requirements, but the normal expectation is that the role is office based, with occasional client visits where required.
