As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your professional expertise to conduct detailed, fair and evidence\-based assessments that help determine how a claimant's condition affects their daily living. ### **What You'll Be Doing

Conducting structured telephone, video or face\-to\-face assessments

Exploring how a claimant's condition impacts their daily living

Reviewing and interpreting clinical evidence

Producing detailed, high\-quality written reports

Applying professional judgement in line with regulatory standards

Working towards quality and productivity targets

Delivering assessments in a respectful, fair and reassuring manner

This is an analytical, report\-focused role. It suits clinicians who enjoy critical thinking and structured environments.

### **This Role Would Suit You If You:

Have strong clinical reasoning skills

Are confident writing detailed, evidence\-based reports

Can interpret complex medical information

Are comfortable using IT systems and Microsoft Office

Want predictable working hours

Are open to structured training and accreditation

Essential Requirements

We cannot consider applications without:

A recognised qualification as a registered healthcare professional

Current NMC or HCPC registration

Membership with the relevant professional body (where applicable)

Minimum 12 months' post\-qualification clinical experience

Eligibility to practise in the UK
