A well\-established, multi\-office law firm in West London is looking to appoint a Head of Family to lead and grow its existing department. The firm has a strong pipeline of privately funded work and an established reputation across family law.

The Role
You will be responsible for leading the Family department alongside managing your own caseload of privately funded matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a personal caseload of family matters
- Supervising and supporting junior fee earners
- Driving departmental performance and billing
- Developing client relationships and referral networks
- Contributing to business development and growth strategy
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy matters
- Private children work
- Cohabitation disputes
- Pre\- and post\-nuptial agreements
- Domestic abuse matters
Candidate Profile
You will be:
- A qualified Solicitor in England \& Wales
- Ideally 7\+ PQE (flexible depending on experience)
- Experienced in handling a full range of privately funded family matters
- Comfortable managing and supervising a small team
- Able to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Confident dealing directly with clients and maintaining relationships
- Previous supervisory or Head of Department experience
- Experience dealing with mid to high\-net\-worth clients
- Advocacy experience
- Strong billing performance and commercial awareness
- Established regional firm with multiple offices
- Strong presence in West London and surrounding area
- Good reputation in the local market
- Stable team structure with low staff turnover
