The Head of Finance Children \& Young People’s Service position is a key role within the Council, vital to ensuring continued financial sustainability and control. The role is a key stepping stone for those looking to gain the skills, experience and knowledge required to move to the Deputy S151 level, as such we are keen to meet those aspiring to achieve this. A member of the Corporate Services Management Team (see attached structure chart), the post holder will lead the Finance Business Partnering Team for the Children \& Young People’s Service Directorate.
The post holder will be responsible for a Finance Business Partnering Team supporting the Children \& Young People’s Service Directorate that has an excellent track record of performance, that has helped deliver a robust Budget and Medium Term Financial Strategy to enable the Directorate to continue to deliver outstanding services. We are looking for a leader who can help continue this strong performance and look to elevate the performance of the team further still.
The post holder will also be responsible for delivery of a work programme jointly set by the Executive Director of Corporate Services (S151\) and Executive Director Children \& Young People’s Service in order to provide Business Partnering. The post holder reports to the Service Director – Financial Services (Deputy S151 Officer).
