This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands\-on commercial leadership. You’ll take ownership of our commercial growth strategy, lead and develop our sales team, build valuable customer and partner relationships, and identify new opportunities across existing and emerging markets.
We’re particularly excited about the opportunities ahead in export markets and the pharmaceutical sector, and we’re looking for someone who can turn those opportunities into sustainable revenue and long\-term customer relationships.
You’ll report directly to the CEO \& CFO and work closely with Operations, Customer Services, Marketing and Finance to ensure our commercial strategy translates into exceptional customer experiences and profitable growth.

Commercial Strategy \& Growth
- Own and deliver Woolcool’s commercial growth and sales strategy.
- Drive revenue, profitability and sustainable business growth.
- Identify and develop new markets, sectors and routes to market.
- Lead new business acquisition, with a particular focus on export and pharmaceutical opportunities.
- Build a strong, well\-managed sales pipeline and robust forecasting process.

- Identify opportunities to increase customer lifetime value through account development and strategic partnerships.
- Support the senior leadership team with wider business strategy and growth initiatives.
- Lead the sales team to achieve agreed revenue and performance targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors and strategic partners.
- Lead significant commercial negotiations, pricing discussions and contract agreements.
- Represent Woolcool at customer meetings, exhibitions, networking events and industry events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and changing customer requirements.
- Turn customer and market insight into new commercial propositions, products and opportunities.
- Lead, coach and develop the commercial team to achieve individual and collective objectives.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs and development plans.
- Create an accountable, motivated and high\-performing commercial culture.
- Encourage collaboration between Commercial, Operations, Customer Services, Marketing and Finance.
- Engage positively with our wider office and warehouse teams and contribute to a collaborative, welcoming workplace.
- Champion Woolcool’s commitment to diversity, inclusion and a positive company culture.

- Improve forecasting, pipeline management and sales performance.
- Work with Marketing to strengthen lead generation, brand awareness and market positioning.
- Protect and strengthen the Woolcool brand and its reputation.
We’re looking for a proven commercial leader, rather than simply someone with a strong sales background.
You’ll be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. You’ll be able to develop a commercial strategy, but equally happy getting involved in a major customer opportunity, coaching a salesperson, reviewing the pipeline or negotiating a significant contract.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Significant experience in a senior commercial, sales or business development leadership role.
- A demonstrable track record of delivering revenue and profitable growth.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing a sales/commercial team.
- Strong new business development and account management experience.
- Commercially strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience developing and implementing sales strategies.
- Excellent understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, CRM and commercial KPIs.
- Experience developing new markets, sectors or routes to market.
- Strong relationship\-building skills across customers, suppliers and strategic partners.
- The ability to analyse commercial performance, identify opportunities and turn insight into action.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively across an organisation.
The person we’re looking for:
Commercially driven – You naturally look for opportunities to grow revenue, margin, market share and customer value.
Strategic – You can see the bigger picture and build a clear commercial plan around it.
Results\-focused – You set ambitious targets and take ownership of delivering them.
A leader – You know that sustainable growth comes from developing great people as well as winning great customers.
Customer\-focused – You understand that strong commercial relationships are built on trust, service and delivering what you promise.
Collaborative – You understand that Sales cannot operate in isolation and that successful growth requires the whole organisation to work together.
Hands\-on – You’re comfortable getting into the detail when required and leading from the front.
Forward\-thinking – You’re curious about new markets, new opportunities, new technology and better ways of working.
Why join Woolcool?
This is an opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting point in its development and have a genuine influence on its future direction.
You won’t simply be managing an existing sales function. You’ll have the opportunity to shape our commercial strategy, develop our people, open new markets and build the systems and processes that will support the next phase of growth.
You’ll work directly with the CEO and CFO as part of the senior leadership team, with significant scope to make an impact.
We’re also committed to building a workplace that is welcoming, diverse, inclusive and collaborative, while continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact.
