Printdesigns Limited is a well\-established large format print and display manufacturer based at Stone Business Park, Staffordshire. Established in 2000, we supply printed display and exhibition products to customers throughout the UK and have built a reputation for quality, reliability and excellent customer service.
We are seeking an experienced Finance \& Accounts Administrator to take ownership of the day\-to\-day finance function within our business. This is a key role working closely with the directors and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the company's accounting and payroll processes.
The Role
This is a hands\-on position suited to an experienced accounts professional who is comfortable managing all aspects of day\-to\-day bookkeeping and finance administration within a busy SME environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing customer and supplier accounts, processing payroll, preparing VAT returns and producing monthly management information for the directors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales ledger management and invoicing
- Raising and issuing customer invoices
- Credit control and debt collection
- Purchase ledger processing
- Allocating customer payments
- Processing supplier payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Payroll administration using Sage Payroll
- Reviewing employee clocking and attendance records for payroll purposes
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate records within Sage 50 Accounts
- Producing monthly management reports for the directors
- Liaising with external accountants at year end
- Handling customer and supplier account queries
- General finance administration
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping, accounts administration or finance role
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
- Experience processing payroll
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Experience of sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control
- Experience carrying out bank reconciliations
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Professional and confident telephone manner
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience working within a small or medium\-sized business
- Experience producing monthly management information
