Head of Braine Supply Ops Procurement

We are looking for a Head of Site Operational Procurement who is strategic, resilient, and collaborative to join our team in Braine Supply Chain, based at our UCB campus located in Braine\-l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role:
You will play a key role in ensuring the availability of critical raw materials and components that keep our operations running smoothly. You will translate global procurement strategies into local execution and safeguard production continuity by managing supply risks. You are going to lead procurement performance on site, drive operational excellence, and strengthen supply chain resilience in a fast\-evolving environment.
Who you will work with:
You will work closely with the Procurement team on site while collaborating extensively with Global Procurement, Planning, Production, Quality, and Finance teams. You are going to build strong partnerships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, performance, and smooth operations across the supply chain ecosystem.
What you will do:
- You will define and execute the site procurement strategy aligned with global objectives.
- You will ensure continuous supply of critical materials and mitigate supply chain risks proactively.
- You will manage and develop a high\-performing local procurement team.
- You will collaborate with global teams and suppliers to secure operational continuity.
- You will monitor KPIs (OTIF, inventory, lead times) and drive continuous improvement.
- You will lead projects enhancing procurement performance, resilience, and sustainability.
- You have a degree in supply chain, procurement, engineering, or a related field.
- You bring strong procurement experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industry environments.
- You demonstrate solid knowledge of global procurement processes and supplier management.
- You are comfortable using ERP systems and planning tools for decision\-making.
- You show strong leadership, decision\-making, and problem\-solving skills under pressure.
- You excel in cross\-functional collaboration, negotiation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
