Church Lane Dental is looking for an Excellent Senior Dental Receptionist to look after our Patients!

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Head Dental Receptionist to oversee the front desk operations of our dental practice. This leadership role requires exceptional management skills, a professional demeanour, and a strong understanding of dental administrative procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising reception staff, managing patient scheduling, and ensuring the smooth running of daily administrative functions. Previous experience in veterinary or healthcare environments is advantageous, alongside skills in financial management and human resources.

Duties

  • Supervise and support the reception team to deliver outstanding patient service

  • Oversee appointment scheduling, patient check\-in and check\-out processes

  • Manage billing, invoicing, and financial transactions accurately

  • Coordinate with dental practitioners to ensure efficient daily operations

  • Handle patient enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally

  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans

  • Assist in training new staff members and conducting performance reviews

  • Implement administrative policies and procedures to optimise workflow

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the reception area

  • Support human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, and staff development
Requirements
  • Proven supervising experience within a healthcare or veterinary setting

  • Strong management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team

  • Knowledge of financial management practices related to healthcare administration

  • Experience in human resources processes such as recruitment and staff development

  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

  • Previous experience in veterinary or dental practice environments is desirable but not essential

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., practice management systems)

Pay: £24,420\.00\-£37,242\.26 per year
