We have an exciting opportunity for a Harm Reduction Outreach Workerwho has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs and can reduce harm Where: TamesideFull Time Hours: 37\.5 hours per weekContract Type: Permanent
Full\-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37\.5 hours per week. For part\-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities:
About the Role:* Ensure that Health Promotion and Harm Reduction messages are integrated
throughout the local recovery services.
- Deliver effective harm reduction services, including the provision of needle and
borne viruses and injecting related injuries/complications.
- Do design and deliver workforce development and training across multiple alcohol and drug awareness domains to specialist staff in the local services and the wider
- Lead the development and production of alcohol and drug\-related resources for
- Contribute to Public Health initiatives and campaigns via all relevant strategic and
- Ensure that best practice is adhered to in relation to safeguarding children and adults at risk.
- Meet all monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Take responsibility for personal development and participate in regular supervision and appraisal.
- Experience of delivering harm reduction interventions for both alcohol and
- Ability to build and maintain networks and effective working relationships with a full range of health professionals, statutory officers, and community/voluntary workers
- In\-depth knowledge of at least one of the following: drug use, alcohol misuse,
- The ability to work with confidence and patience with clients unwilling to

- Ability to work independently, but also to contribute to team working
