About the Role
Community360 is seeking an experienced and confident Project Lead to lead delivery of the Greenstead Pride in Place programme.
This is a high‑profile, place‑based role at the heart of a nationally recognised initiative, working alongside residents, statutory partners, community organisations and political stakeholders to drive positive change in Greenstead.
You will coordinate and support the Greenstead Community Board, ensure strong governance and transparent decision‑making, and oversee the delivery of early‑phase projects that will set the foundations for longer‑term regeneration and community investment.
Key Responsibilities
Governance \& Programme Coordination
- Coordinate and support the Greenstead Community Board in line with MHCLG guidance
- Design, embed and maintain effective governance, reporting and accountability systems
- Arrange, facilitate and minute regular in‑person Board meetings
- Maintain action logs, risk registers and programme documentation
- Support development of Phase 0 and Phase 1 project plans
- Oversee delivery of pilot activities and events
- Track progress against milestones, budgets and outcomes
- Coordinate inputs from multiple agencies to keep delivery on track
- Build strong relationships with Colchester City Council, statutory bodies, VCSE partners and political stakeholders
- Act as a key link between the community, partners and decision‑makers
- Ensure consistent communication and shared understanding across the partnership
- Support delivery of an inclusive community and stakeholder engagement plan
- Work closely with communications and engagement colleagues
- Promote meaningful participation and ensure community feedback shapes priorities
- Significant experience delivering complex or place‑based projects
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple agencies and stakeholder groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience maintaining governance, risk and project management documentation
- Experience working directly with diverse communities
- Strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles
- Experience working alongside communications or engagement teams
- Formal project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, Lean Six Sigma)
- 28 days holiday (pro‑rata), including bank holidays
