Rommbic is a specialist recruitment firm for the construction products industry, founded in 2018 and based in London.

The business works on a retained search basis across building materials, offsite and modern methods of construction, building envelope, fenestration, and paints and coatings. Clients are manufacturers, suppliers and merchants across the UK and Ireland.

The company was founded to raise the standard of recruitment in a sector that has historically been served by high\-volume contingent agencies. Retained search means smaller caseloads, deeper client relationships and mandates that are worth doing properly.

The role

Rommbic is recruiting a Graduate Recruitment Consultant to work directly with the Managing Director.

The successful candidate will begin by shadowing the MD daily, learn the full retained search process, and take on clients from the MD's portfolio as they progress.

Full training is provided and no previous recruitment experience is required.

Because Rommbic is a small, specialist business, the successful candidate will have direct access to the person running it from day one, and real client responsibility far earlier than a large agency would offer.

Responsibilities

• Shadowing the Managing Director on client pitches, calls and candidate interviews


• Mapping markets and headhunting candidates across the building products sector


• Managing searches end to end, from brief to offer management


• Developing new business with manufacturers, suppliers and merchants


• Taking ownership of accounts handed over from the Managing Director


• Maintaining accurate CRM records and a working pipeline

Requirements

• A degree, or a comparable record of achievement and self\-motivation


• Strong written and verbal communication


• Commercial curiosity, and a willingness to learn a technical industry properly


• Resilience, and the ability to work through rejection


• Organisation, and the ability to run several searches at once


• Eligibility to work in the UK

Experience in the construction or building products sector is useful but not required.

Package and benefits

• Basic salary of £26,000–£28,00, depending on experience


• Uncapped commission, paying up to 50% of billings
