The Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management and successful delivery of our projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Quantity Surveyors and project teams, gaining practical experience across all aspects of commercial management from pre\-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of cost plans, budget estimates and tender submissions

  • Support the commercial management of projects from pre\-construction through to final account

  • Subcontractor and material procurement

  • Carry out measurement and remeasurement of works

  • Prepare and issue interim valuations, applications for payment and final accounts

  • Monitor project costs and assist with cost reporting

  • The preparation and evaluation of variations and change management processes

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and gather commercial information

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams

  • Support senior commercial staff and contribute to the successful delivery of projects
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Previous industry placement or construction experience is desirable but not essential

  • Knowledge of standard forms of construction contract would be advantageous
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£36,000\.00 per year

  • Driving Licence (Full UK) (preferred)
