Role: Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

Team: Terex MDS Engineering

Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon–Thurs), 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Fri)

Reports To: Design Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll dive into exciting design projects for our world\-class MDS equipment line, supporting everything from concept to prototype to production.

You’ll:

  • Design and develop innovative mechanical solutions for next\-gen equipment

  • Create detailed drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks) including weldments and assemblies

  • Build BOMs (Bill of Materials) and collaborate with suppliers to gather product data

  • Make sure our designs are safe, functional, and field\-ready

  • Solve real\-time engineering problems — both on the production floor and in the field

  • Work cross\-functionally with teams across engineering, operations, and customer support

What You Bring


  • A degree in Mechanical or Product Design Engineering (or similar)

  • Solid grasp of 3D CAD (preferably SolidWorks) and PDM systems

  • A passion for designing systems that integrate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical elements

  • Problem\-solving mindset and creative flair for innovation

  • Strong communication skills and team\-first attitude

  • A curiosity to learn and a “let’s figure it out” approach to challenges

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Awesome)


  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis)

  • Familiarity with mobile machinery electrical/hydraulic systems

  • Understanding of how to balance technical feasibility with commercial impact

  • Presentation and stakeholder communication skills

  • Willingness to travel occasionally
