Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer

DFC Group is a growing steel fabrication and construction company specialising in the construction of warehouse and industrial facilities throughout the North East region. As part of our continued growth and the opening of our new facility in Dundalk, we are looking for a Graduate Civil / Structural Engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified engineer who wants to develop into a well\-rounded and experienced civil/structural engineer. The position will provide a combination of office\-based design work and practical site experience, giving the successful candidate exposure to projects from the early planning stages right through to fabrication and construction.

The Role:

Working directly alongside our experienced Design Engineer and wider construction team, you will gain hands\-on experience across a broad range of engineering activities, including:

• Structural and civil design


• Preparation of drawings and details


• CAD drafting and detailing


• Project planning and coordination


• Setting out on construction sites


• Use of surveying equipment and Total Stations


• Assisting with technical queries during fabrication and construction


• Liaising with our design, fabrication, commercial and site teams


• Supporting projects from design through to completion

We are looking for someone who:

• Has recently completed, or is about to complete, a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline


• Is keen to develop both their technical and practical engineering skills


• Is interested in working in both an office and site environment


• Has good communication and problem\-solving skills


• Is motivated, organised and willing to learn


• Enjoys being part of a practical, experienced construction team

Pay: From €30,000\.00 per year

Licence/Certification:

• A Driving Licence (preferred)
