GP Receptionist
Hours for this post : 16 hours per week.
Monday 10am \-7pm ( 1 hr for lunch)
Friday 9\.45am \- 6\.45pm ( 1 hr for lunch)

Job Summary
The Receptionist /Patient Care Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for patients within our healthcare facility. This position involves managing patient interactions, coordinating care, and supporting the clinical team to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
The role of Receptionist will include, but not limited to, the following:
Timely processing of large volumme of patient online requests and care navigating as appropriate.
Answering Incoming telephone calls
· Dealing with all patient requests and queries
· Processing of prescription requests
· Answering email queries
· Handling complaints at the first point of contact
· Dealing with Patient queries at the reception Front Desk
· General administrative duties .
The role will mean you are the first point of contact with patients and will be a representation of our practice therefore efficient customer service is essential. You will be required to handle an extremely large volume of online e\-consultation requests and calls and care navigate as appropriate.You must have the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst continuing to work to a high standard and level of accuracy. You must treat all patients with respect and have a good level of empathy and understanding always remaining polite and professional.
Duties will also include ensuring all incoming correspondence, actioned and processed in a timely manner . You will be required to provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
All staff are required to comply with Practice safeguarding policies.
All staff are required to complete mandatory E\-learning training .
Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or office environment is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast\-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
- Good knowledge of Computer systems, Microsoft word and email systems.
- A compassionate attitude towards patient care and a commitment to enhancing the patient experience are essential.
- strong work ethic with good timekeeping skills
