Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced GP Reception/Admin Team Leader to oversee the administrative operations within our GP practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the reception team, managing daily workflows, and ensuring exceptional patient service. Duties
- Lead and supervise the reception and administrative team, ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Oversee appointment scheduling, patient communication, and administrative tasks to maintain high standards of patient service.
- Support human resources functions such as staff training, performance reviews, and recruitment processes.
- Collaborate with practice staff to ensure smooth coordination between administrative and clinical teams.
- Maintain organised records of patient information, appointments, and financial data in accordance with data protection regulations.
- Assist in implementing practice policies and procedures to optimise operational efficiency.
- Handle patient enquiries professionally via phone or email, resolving issues promptly, including complaint resolution.
- Champion and contribute to a positive team environment by providing leadership and motivation.
- Proven supervising experience in an administrative or management role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of human resources practices such as staff development and performance management.
- Healthcare experience is highly desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to patient interaction.
- Ability to lead a team confidently while fostering a collaborative work environment.
