Secondary School Geography Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working with several secondary schools in South Manchester to recruit fully qualified Geography Teachers for the next academic year (September 2026). This is a full-time position, ideal for a passionate educator committed to delivering engaging and high-quality geography lessons.

Contract: Full-time
Salary: Matched to your level on the Teacher Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively

  • Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment

  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school activities

  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree or specialism in Geography

  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (ECTs welcome to apply)

  • Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management skills

  • A commitment to pupil progress and high educational standards

  • The ability to commute to or be based in South Manchester / Stockport
