General Manager – Toast \& Timber, Abergavenny

Full Time \| Competitive Salary \| Daytime Hours

We’re looking for an exceptional General Manager to join Toast \& Timber and help lead our growing independent business.

Toast \& Timber is a busy brunch house and coffee shop in the heart of Abergavenny, built from the ground up with passion, hard work and a genuine love for hospitality. Following a hugely successful opening, we’re looking for a hands\-on leader who shares our values and wants to grow with the company as we continue to expand.

The Role

As General Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day\-to\-day running of the business, ensuring every guest receives outstanding service whilst leading, developing and inspiring the team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast\-paced environment, loves people, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future of an independent hospitality brand.

Working Hours

• Primarily daytime hours


• Shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm


• Earlier finish on Sundays


• Weekend availability required

• Leading and motivating the front and back of house teams


• Delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences


• Managing daily operations and service standards


• Recruiting, training and developing team members


• Driving sales and profitability


• Managing labour, stock control and costs


• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health \& safety and company procedures


• Handling customer feedback professionally and proactively


• Supporting the growth and development of the Toast \& Timber brand

• Previous experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Senior Manager within hospitality


• Strong leadership and people management skills


• Passionate about customer service and creating great experiences


• Commercially aware with experience managing KPIs and budgets


• Organised, proactive and able to lead by example


• Positive, energetic and solutions\-focused


• A genuine desire to grow with an ambitious independent business
