General Manager
The Mary How Trust is an independent charity dedicated to improving health outcomes through early detection and prevention. For over 30 years, we have delivered life\-changing health and wellbeing screenings.
We are entering an exciting new chapter and are seeking an experienced, dynamic and forward\-thinking General Manager to lead the management of our growing services, including the establishment of a new second site.
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the future of the charity, combining operational leadership, strategic development, financial oversight and people management to ensure our services continue to thrive and reach even more people in our communities.
As General Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, working closely with the CEO, Trustees and colleagues to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.
You will oversee the day\-to\-day management of non\-clinical operations, finances, governance, facilities and support services while helping to develop and embed our new site. Working collaboratively with clinical leadership, you will ensure high\-quality, safe and effective service delivery across all locations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership \& Site Development
- Lead the operational development and successful launch/growth of our new site.
- Drive organisational growth and service expansion.
- Translate strategic objectives into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with community partners, healthcare professionals, funders and stakeholders.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee day\-to\-day operations across multiple sites.
- Ensure efficient use of resources and achievement of service targets.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance.
- Maintain high standards of governance, quality and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Support the organisation's commitment to safeguarding, health and safety, information governance and quality assurance.
- Lead, support and develop a committed team of staff and volunteers.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and values\-driven culture.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment and performance management.
- Promote collaboration and organisational learning.
- Significant senior management experience within healthcare, charity, public sector or other values\-led organisations.
- Proven experience leading operational services and organisational growth.
- Strong financial management and budgeting experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience of governance, compliance and risk management.
- Ability to motivate and develop teams through change and growth.
- Strong organisational and problem\-solving skills.
