Overview
The Green Dragon Pub in Horsham is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Lead and supervise all aspects of pub operations, including front\-of\-house and kitchen functions.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Manage the team effectively, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and motivating staff members such as serving staff, baristas, and kitchen personnel.
- Ensure high standards of hospitality are maintained at all times through excellent leadership and customer service.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to optimise efficiency and minimise waste.
- Implement and uphold food safety standards across all departments in accordance with legal requirements.
- Organise promotional events and special offers to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
- Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving any issues promptly to maintain the pub’s reputation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the premises to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
- Extensive restaurant or pub experience with knowledge of food production, culinary practices, and kitchen operations.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff towards shared goals.
- Previous experience in food safety management is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hospitality operations including serving, bar management, and general customer service excellence.
- Leadership qualities that inspire confidence among team members and foster a positive working environment.
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential; a background in culinary arts or food preparation is beneficial. This role requires a dedicated professional with a passion for hospitality excellence who can lead by example while ensuring the smooth running of The Green Dragon Pub in Horsham.
