Bowes hospitality are looking to bolster their management team with a general manager for the spotted dog in Penshurst. We’ve been open one year and already nominated for ‘Best loved local’ by Muddy Stilletos (results pending) we are a traditional country pub and smokehouse. A unique menu of North American barbecue with a traditional British accent. There is a small team of loyal local workers and strong kitchen team and you will be supported by the two resident owners.
We have simple rules in our business. Turn up, work hard and have fun. If you can do that you’re halfway there. Business administration is one thing we don’t always get right as we’re busy focusing on our guests and the experience. So good knowledge of systems, processes and an analytical mind with an inquisitive nature is ideal.
Our food offer is all fresh and made on site so a good level of experience with a premium food offer is essential. Our wine list is important to us and our mix of local and international beers appeal to all tastes. This job would suite a new manager looking to expand their knowledge with the level of support you can get we won’t set you up failure and ensure the right candidate is given the best opportunity to succeed and earn uncapped bonus.
