We’re seeking a General Manager to take a leadership role within a multi‑disciplinary property service. Working with other General Managers, Service Managers and stakeholders, you’ll help shape and deliver the strategic, operational, and financial direction of the service, ensuring it supports organisational priorities and delivers high‑quality, cost‑effective outcomes.
You will lead a specialist and technical function within the property portfolio, which may include the following, Planned Works, Empty Homes, Responsive Repairs, Adaptations, DMC and Disrepairs. The role carries full accountability for day‑to‑day performance, statutory and contractual compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on value for money and customer experience.
A core element of the role is leadership. You’ll create a high‑performance culture, providing clear direction, challenge, and support to managers and teams. You’ll oversee resource planning, respond to complex operational, financial, and performance issues, and provide clear, well‑reasoned advice and reports to senior forums and governance bodies.
This role suits a confident, credible leader with strong technical expertise in property services, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to lead change in a complex environment. If you’re motivated by improving services, managing significant assets, and leading teams to deliver sustained results, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
