General Manager - Mobilisation

At Fresh, we're looking for a General Manager to lead the mobilisation and launch of Hendon Student, our brand\-new student accommodation community in Hendon. This exciting new development will offer 204 high\-quality studio apartments and welcome its first residents in September 2027. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership from the very beginning, helping shape every aspect of the resident experience, build a high\-performing team and create a thriving community before opening day.

You'll be at the heart of bringing this exciting new scheme to life, using your people leadership, operational management and customer service expertise in a rewarding environment where you can make a genuine difference to students' lives, while enjoying a healthier work\-life balance.

Unlike many management roles, this position offers 37\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with working hours between 8am and 6pm. That means your evenings, weekends and Christmas periods can be spent doing what matters most to you.

*Proposed start date: 1 November 2026, giving you the opportunity to lead the mobilisation phase and prepare Hendon Student for its first student intake in September 2027\.*

The Role:

As General Manager, you will have full accountability for the successful mobilisation, opening and ongoing performance of Hendon Student. You will lead the recruitment and development of a high\-performing team, establish operational processes, support the lease\-up strategy ahead of launch and deliver an exceptional resident experience from day one.

Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and key partners, you'll oversee the journey from mobilisation through to opening, ensuring the building is fully operational and ready to welcome its first residents in September 2027\. Following opening, you will continue to drive operational excellence, strong commercial performance and outstanding customer service, creating a vibrant and successful student community.

*Key Responsibilities:*

• Recruit, lead and develop the on\-site team including performance management in line with company policies.


• Proactively drive and convert sales by working towards business‑wide KPIs, while motivating and supporting team members to achieve their targets.


• Control site budgets, forecasting and expenditure


• Own the end\-to\-end resident journey from enquiry to check out


• Oversee all aspects of site operations, ensuring site operates safely, efficiently and remains fully compliant


• Act as the primary representative of the Fresh brand, managing stakeholder and client relationships


• Drive service standards, resident satisfaction and continuous improvement

You’re a hands\-on commercially minded senior leader with experience taking full responsibility for a residential, hospitality or service led operation.

You will bring:

• Proven leadership and people management experience


• Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of delivering sales or revenue targets


• Confidence in managing compliance, safety and operational risk


• A genuine passion for people, service and community\-building


• The ability to make decisions under pressure and lead from the front
