General Manager

We are looking for a real professional to bring the very best out of the team at our Berkhamsted Taproom. Mad Squirrel Berkhamsted is a contemporary taproom and bottle shop known for its vibrant, social atmosphere and extensive selection of craft beers. The ideal candidate will have proven past experience within hospitality and will have the confidence to use an 'outside of the box' approach to impact sales and growth. This is a hands on role that will require someone with heaps of energy eager to make a lasting impact.

*Key Responsibilities:*

• Driving sales, promoting craft beer and our brand.


• Establish and maintain realistic budgets whilst identifying ways to improve profitability and manage costs effectively.


• Maintain high standards of quality and presentation in all aspects of the bar and dining experience


• Lead and motivate a team to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast\-paced, high\-energy atmosphere.


• Constantly develop, mentor and grow your teams’ abilities to aid the evolution of our brand.

*About You:*

• At least 1 year\+ previous managerial experience in hospitality.


• A front seat driver with exceptional people skills.


• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.


• Formidable knowledge of craft beer with willingness and passion to learn about the craft beer industry.


• Positive can\-do attitude and passion for delivering unforgettable guest experiences
