GENERAL MANAGER
Reports to: Operations Manager
Direct Reports: Store Team
WOK IS MY ROLE?
- To lead, manage and inspire my team, promoting great team work and treating each other with dignity, courtesy and respect always.
- To make sure I have the best team who are fully trained, motivated and focussed on providing a Faster, Fresher and Tastier dining experience, putting our customers at the centre of everything they do.
- To ensure that my restaurant achieves outstanding results through people, food quality, service, environment, sales and profitability.
- To take a ‘hands on role ', leading by example promoting effective and open communication, great teamwork and a culture based on integrity, courtesy and respect.
- To be passionate, positive and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- To recruit, engage, welcome and train all newly appointed employees.
- To monitor, review and manage employee conduct and performance on an ongoing basis, ensuring expectations are set and people issues are dealt with in a timely and legal manner.
- To spot talent within my team, ensuring performance reviews are conducted and development plans are in place, aiding great succession through my restaurant.
- To train and delegate responsibilities to members of my team accordingly.
- To conduct and attend regular team and Company meetings, including daily team briefings.
- To ensure every member of my team delivers the ‘Chopstix Steps of Service’ to every customer, every time.
- To fully understand the food specifications and portion guidelines, ensuring that our food meets company standards at all times and addressing any discrepancies immediately.
- To have a focussed approach to driving sales, exceeding my restaurant’s KPI’s and continuously monitoring my restaurants financial performance.
- To drive, develop and support continuous improvement through implementation of new systems and initiatives.
- To ensure optimum staffing levels at all times, by planning and displaying rotas on a weekly basis, including daily breaks on all relevant shifts and effective management of my teams’ holiday and attendance.
- To deal with any complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring complaints are fully investigated and our customers leave happy.
- To carry out stock takes, order stock and receive deliveries, ensuring food is always to the highest standards.
- Managing the Cash and Banking procedures in line with company policy, acting with integrity at all times and reporting any cash discrepancies to my Operation Manager within stated timeframes.
- Keeping myself and my team up to date and following all legal and Company policies, processes and practices, including ensuring the Company Safety Standards are adhered to at all times.
- To communicate regularly with my Operations Manager, discussing any issues or concerns and actioning any requests in a timely manner.
- To deal with any faulty equipment or anything that could put at risk the health, safety and welfare of others…quickly!
- To carry out my role to the best of my ability, taking accountability for my stores, teams and own personal performance.
- To take on additional duties and responsibilities as and when required to meet the needs of the business.

- Management experience working within the fast\-paced world of hospitality is a must and ideally this would be within a QSR environment
