General Manager – Forge \& Pheasant

Hartham Park is looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the Forge \& Pheasant and our rapidly growing estate\-wide hospitality operation.

This is far more than a restaurant GM role.

Alongside our premium café and restaurant, you’ll lead the same team across a busy calendar of weddings, conferences, corporate events and private functions; creating one flexible, high\-performing hospitality operation.

Following significant growth over the past 18 months, Hartham Park is entering an exciting next phase with expanded catering, further accommodation and continued investment across the estate.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Group Hospitality, you’ll have genuine ownership of the operation, including:

• Leading, developing and inspiring a multi\-skilled F\&B team


• Delivering exceptional café, restaurant, wedding and event operations


• Driving food, beverage and service standards


• Building efficient staffing structures across multiple revenue streams


• Managing labour, GP, costs and commercial performance


• Recruiting, training and developing future managers


• Improving systems, consistency and guest experience


• Identifying opportunities to grow revenue and profitability

We’re looking for

A strong operator, commercial thinker and brilliant people leader who can take ownership and make the business their own.

You’ll ideally have:

• GM or senior hospitality management experience


• Strong restaurant, events, wedding or hotel F\&B experience


• A track record of building and retaining high\-performing teams


• Strong commercial understanding of P\&L, labour and GP


• Excellent organisation across complex, fast\-moving operations


• High standards and an instinct for exceptional hospitality


• The confidence to improve, challenge and evolve an established operation

Experience within a premium hotel, country estate, wedding venue or multi\-faceted hospitality business would be particularly valuable.

Pay: £42,000\.00\-£45,000\.00 per year
