General Manager/Bar Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager/Bar Manager to work in our family run Business " Bife" which is an Argentinian Steak house/cocktail bar situated in the heart of Haywards Heath's Broadway which has recently been voted a top 10 venue in West Sussex. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and bar experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, liasing with our award winning chef ensuring food safety standards are met and maintaining high\-quality service in a fast\-paced environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising all aspects of food and beverage service, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant and bar operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service


• Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations


• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the premise


• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and resolving any guest concerns promptly


• Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs effectively


• Work alongside our head Chef to develop innovative food menus, and to promote and develop seasonal cocktails to enhance customer experience


• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue


• Foster a positive team environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence

Experience

• Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting


• Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production


• Previous management roles such as restaurant supervisor or assistant manager or Bar manager are highly desirable


• Skills in team management, leadership, and staff development are prefered


• Knowledge of serving techniques, hospitality standards, and barista experience are beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: £25,974\.45\-£40,000\.00 per year
