Job Title: General Manager

Are you a driven and personable leader ready to take charge of an exciting independent pub in the heart of Tadcaster? We are seeking dedicated General Managers to lead our teams and ensure the continued success and growth of our establishments.

About Us:

We are an independent company located in the heart of West Yorkshire and we are looking for a general manager. Our independent venues are known for there welcoming atmosphere, innovative cocktails, and exceptional service. We pride ourselves on creating a memorable experience for our guests while fostering a positive and collaborative environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day\-to\-day operations of the bar, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests.

  • Manage employee scheduling, time management, and accurate reporting of employee hours.

  • Maintain a well\-stocked, clean, and safe bar in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring adherence to the organization’s budget.

  • Handle ordering and stock control through our head office.

  • Plan and oversee special events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet guest expectations.

  • Recruit, train, and delegate staff effectively to meet operational needs.

  • Maintain and update POS systems, décor, and publicity efforts, including social media marketing, to engage with our target audience.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience as a General Manager or Assistant Manager in a pub, bar or restaurant.

  • Food experience required.

  • Cocktail experience preferred, though training is provided.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency in managing budgets, costs, and stock control.

  • Ability to plan and execute special events.

  • Knowledge of social media marketing and maintaining a strong online presence.
