Gas Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. Duties

• Install, service, and repair gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations


• Conduct routine inspections to ensure the safe operation of gas equipment


• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry skills to complete installations and repairs


• Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipework modifications and leak detection


• Carry out heavy lifting of equipment and materials safely during installation or maintenance tasks


• Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with gas appliances and associated systems


• Maintain accurate documentation of work carried out and report any safety concerns or faults


• Assist with assembly of new systems or components as required


• Operate commercial vehicles for transportation of tools and equipment to various sites

Experience

• Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role within the building services or utilities sector


• Competency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools


• Strong mechanical knowledge relevant to gas systems and appliances


• Ability to perform basic maths calculations related to measurements, pressure readings, and system specifications


• Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks in a safe manner


• Valid driving licence required


• Familiarity with assembly processes and the use of various mechanical components is advantageous


• Prior experience working in both residential and commercial environments is desirable
