We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer/Plumber to join our team to work in Newport, and Cardiff area, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas and plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and repair gas appliances, boilers, and plumbing systems in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Read technical drawings and specifications to ensure correct installation and maintenance procedures.

  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry tools to complete tasks efficiently.

  • Heavy lifting of equipment or materials as required while adhering to health and safety protocols.

  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.

  • Ensure all work complies with current health and safety legislation and company policies.
Skills
  • Proven experience in plumbing, gas engineering, or related mechanical trades.

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry tools.

  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

  • Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks.

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Experience with commercial driving is advantageous for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
