Service \& Repair Engineer – Birmingham

Salary: £43,000 Basic \+ Overtime \| OTE £50,000\+

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service \& Repair Engineer to join a well\-established private housing contractor covering Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Gas Engineer looking for a secure, long\-term position, with a strong basic salary and the opportunity to increase earnings through overtime.

The Role

As a Service \& Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out gas servicing, breakdowns and repairs across privately owned and managed residential properties.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out annual gas servicing and safety checks


• Diagnosing and repairing domestic boilers and heating systems


• Attending breakdowns and reactive repair jobs


• Fault\-finding on a range of domestic gas appliances


• Completing necessary paperwork and certification


• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with Gas Safe regulations


• Providing a professional and customer\-focused service to residents and customers


• Working efficiently to meet daily targets and appointment schedules


• Carrying out additional heating\-related works where required

• £43,000 basic salary


• OTE £50,000\+ with overtime

• Full ACS qualifications including CCN1 \& CENWAT, CKR1 and HTR1


• Proven experience in domestic gas servicing and repairs


• Previous private housing experience e.g. British Gas etc


• Strong boiler fault\-finding and diagnostic skills


• Good knowledge of domestic heating systems


• Full UK driving licence


• Excellent customer service skills


• Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload


• Reliable, professional and safety\-focused approach
