Summary

We are seeking a Furniture Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Rotherham. Based at our facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient production processes that align with our commitment to quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of furniture production across wood\-based manufacturing processes.

  • Drive Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the operation to improve productivity, reduce waste and maximise efficiency.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across production, quality, purchasing, logistics and people development.

  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.

  • Develop, coach and motivate production teams, creating a culture of accountability and engagement.

  • Work closely with purchasing and supply chain teams to optimise material availability and inventory.

  • Improve manufacturing processes through KPI analysis, root cause problem solving and structured improvement projects.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

  • Manage budgets, labour utilisation and operational costs while delivering agreed business objectives.

  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience in furniture manufacturing or a related industry.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Mechanical knowledge relevant to furniture assembly and production.

  • Ability to analyze processes for continuous improvement.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with quality control procedures.

  • Experience managing supply chain logistics is preferred.

About You

You will be an experienced production leader with a proven track record in furniture or wood\-based manufacturing and a passion for developing people and improving performance.

You will have:

  • Significant experience managing production within a wood\-based furniture manufacturing environment.

  • Extensive knowledge of CNC machining, panel processing, assembly, finishing and upholstery (desirable).

  • A strong Lean Manufacturing background with demonstrable success implementing continuous improvement programmes.

  • Experience leading improvements across production, quality, purchasing and logistics.

  • Excellent leadership, communication and coaching skills.

  • A data\-driven approach with experience managing KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities.

  • A hands\-on management style with the ability to lead by example.
Pay: £30,409\.21\-£57,763\.64 per year
