Job Purpose
The Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in generating sustainable income to support Noor Relief Fund’s vital charitable work. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies across multiple income streams, including trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, individual giving, community fundraising, and events.
As a proactive and creative fundraiser, you will build meaningful relationships with donors, craft compelling funding applications, and ensure excellent stewardship of all supporters. You will work closely with programme delivery teams to understand our impact and translate this into engaging fundraising communications that inspire support.

Key Responsibilities
1\. Strategic Leadership \& Income Generation
- Develop and execute annual fundraising plans to achieve revenue targets and diversify income streams
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across all income streams
- Design and implement targeted fundraising campaigns, leveraging insights and KPIs to maximise donor engagement and income
- Take a Full Cost Recovery (FCR) approach to project funding applications and prioritise unrestricted income generation when possible
- Monitor fundraising performance against targets and report regularly on progress
- Keep abreast of changes in the wider fundraising landscape, trends, and best practices
- Conduct detailed research on prospective funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and grant\-making bodies
- Lead the process of effectively matching potential donors with appropriate projects and initiatives
- Produce high\-quality funding enquiries, expressions of interest, and full applications within deadlines
- Develop clear and accurate project budgets in partnership with the finance department
- Manage existing funding relationships, including reapplications and multi\-year grants
- Ensure all grant usage is monitored and write comprehensive project reports for funders
- Meet with funders as necessary to provide information and strengthen relationships
- Research and identify potential corporate partners and High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs)
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to corporate and major donor interests
- Initiate, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners and major donors
- Coordinate corporate volunteering, sponsorship opportunities, and partnership activities
- Ensure corporate partners receive appropriate recognition and impact reporting
- Develop and grow regular giving, single donations, and in\-memory giving programs
- Write and design fundraising appeals to existing supporters to increase engagement and income
- Develop and implement a comprehensive donor stewardship program for new and existing supporters
- Write compelling case studies and impact stories to illustrate the effectiveness of our work
- Ensure all donations and grants are formally acknowledged in a timely manner with personalised communication
- Build long\-term relationships with individual supporters through meaningful engagement
- Oversee community fundraising initiatives and third\-party fundraising activities
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver fundraising events that engage supporters and generate income
- Deliver presentations to schools, community groups, and other organizations about Noor Relief Fund’s work
- Produce creative and interactive resources for community engagement
- Manage and support fundraising volunteers, ensuring positive experiences
- Promote fundraising opportunities across community networks and digital channels
- Work with communications colleagues to develop fundraising assets including case studies, impact reports, and promotional materials
- Write press releases and marketing materials to promote services and fundraising campaigns
- Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all fundraising communications
- Contribute to digital fundraising initiatives and social media campaigns
- Ensure accurate record\-keeping of all fundraising activity and donor relationships on CRM database (Salesforce)
- Maintain all donor and supporter records in compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations
- Use CRM to generate reports, analyse data, and track progress against targets
- Work closely with finance colleagues to reconcile income, review invoicing/payments, and develop funder reports
- Ensure all fundraising activities adhere to the highest standards of best practice and relevant regulations
- Understand and apply Gift Aid procedures and charity governance requirements
- Act as an ambassador for Noor Relief Fund at events, meetings, and public engagements
- Build strong working relationships with programme/delivery teams to understand impact and gather evidence
- Engage service users, beneficiaries, and stakeholders in fundraising activities where appropriate
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure integrated approaches to income generation
- Contribute to organisational planning processes and strategic discussions
- Proven experience in fundraising, marketing, or relationship management within a nonprofit or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of CRM software, particularly Raiser's Edge or comparable platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic fundraising campaigns.
- Familiarity with public relations strategies to enhance organizational visibility.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for the organization’s mission coupled with a proactive attitude toward relationship building and donor stewardship.

- Do you have a minimum 5 years’ experience working as a charity fundraiser?
- Do you have experience with corporate partnerships and major donors?
- Demonstrable experience of successfully raising funds from Trusts \& Foundations.
- Do you have experience of securing grants of £10,000\+ from charitable trusts.
