Full Time Credit Controller

We are looking for a dynamic and results\-driven Credit Controller to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring customers adhere to agreed credit terms, thereby supporting the overall financial stability and performance of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Credit Management: Implement and maintain effective credit control processes to ensure timely payment of invoices within established credit limits.


• Customer Communication: Maintain regular contact with account customers by distributing invoices and statements, addressing inquiries, and fostering open communication to encourage prompt payments.


• Credit Assessment: Utilize Creditsafe to evaluate the creditworthiness of businesses applying for credit accounts. Contact trade references as part of the evaluation process before setting credit terms.


• Payment Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile incoming payments with outstanding invoices, ensuring all financial records are current and precise.


• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling concerns professionally to support timely payments and long\-term partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Debt Collection: Experience with initiating county court proceedings and working with debt collection agencies is an advantage.


• Software Skills: Proficient with Windows\-based applications; familiarity with accounting software such as Sage is highly desirable.

Key Competencies:

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage customer interactions and evaluate trade references.


• Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to assess credit risks using tools like Creditsafe and make sound credit decisions.


• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reconciling payments and maintaining financial records.


• Problem\-Solving: Proactive and diplomatic in resolving customer issues and addressing payment delays.
