Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our bustling hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for exceptional customer service, and a solid background in food service and hospitality. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in delivering outstanding dining experiences while managing team performance effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front of house staff, including servers and hosts, to ensure smooth service delivery
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain high standards of quality and presentation
- Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service, addressing guest needs promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all front of house activities
- Manage reservations, organise seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover
- Train new team members on service procedures, health \& safety protocols, and company policies
- Handle guest complaints diplomatically to resolve issues swiftly and maintain guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth operation during service hours
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive working environment
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
- Experience in restaurant service, including serving and hospitality roles such as barista or hotel front desk duties is desirable
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Good communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Previous experience in culinary or restaurant environments is highly desirable
