We are looking for a motivated and experienced Front of House Assistant Manager to support the day\-to\-day running of our busy food\-led pub.

You will work closely with the General Manager and management team to ensure excellent customer service, strong team leadership, and smooth front\-of\-house operations. This is a hands\-on role ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering great hospitality, and working in a fast\-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the daily operation of the pub

  • Lead front of house shifts, ensuring high standards of service at all times

  • Supervise, train, and motivate front of house team members

  • Deliver excellent guest experiences in both bar and food service

  • Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally

  • Ensure all health \& safety, food safety and licensing standards are followed

  • Assist with shift planning and labour control

  • Support stock control and ordering

  • Drive sales through upselling, promotions and excellent service

  • Open and close the venue when required

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation across all customer areas
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality

  • Strong knowledge of food and drink service

  • Confident leader with the ability to motivate a team

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment

  • Organised, reliable and flexible with working hours

  • Comfortable working evenings, weekends and bank holidays

  • A positive, hands\-on attitude with a passion for hospitality
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Experience in a food\-led pub or restaurant

  • Personal Licence holder (or willingness to work towards one)
