Freelance Miniatures Designer \- Digital Organic / ZBrush
-------------------------------------------------------------

Warlord Games is looking for freelance digital sculptors to create organic miniature sculpts for our ranges.

This role is focused on figures, characters, creatures, infantry, anatomy, clothing, poses, heads, hands, equipment and characterful miniature detail. We are looking for sculptors who understand that a tabletop miniature is not just a digital model. It needs to print, cast, assemble, photograph and read clearly at scale.

What we need

We are looking for freelancers who can:

  • Sculpt high\-quality organic miniatures in ZBrush or equivalent software.

  • Work from approved Product Definitions, Creative Briefs, concept art, historical references, faction guides and product requirements.

  • Create convincing anatomy, gesture, clothing, kit, faces, hands and surface detail.

  • Design figures with strong silhouettes, readable detail and practical production needs.

  • Prepare files for print, review and handover where required.

  • Respond constructively to review, production feedback and design direction.

  • Maintain consistency with the relevant range, faction, era, aesthetic and product brief.

  • Work professionally to deadlines and communicate clearly.

Behaviour matters

We need freelancers who can work inside a brief without losing their creative judgement.

Good creative work is not just “make something cool.” It is understanding what decision the brief is trying to make, what the product needs to achieve, and what constraints actually matter. We value people who can take direction, challenge constructively where needed, and revise work without drama.

If you need total creative freedom on every sculpt, this probably is not the right freelance relationship. If you enjoy turning a clear brief into a miniature that works as a product, we should talk.

How to apply

Please send:

  • A portfolio showing organic sculpting, character work, anatomy, clothing, creatures or miniature design.

  • Examples of production\-ready or printable work if available.

  • A short summary of your software and workflow.

  • Your availability and usual freelance rates.

  • A letter explaining why you want to work with Warlord Games in this role.
Applications must include a letter explaining why you want this job.

Applications without a letter will not be processed.
