Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure smooth and timely processing of deliveries. Duties

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse and dedicated delivery areas


• Assist with inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels


• Load and unload incoming shipments, verifying quantities against shipping documents


• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues


• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and safety procedures are followed


• Assist with materials handling, ensuring accurate stacking and storage of stock


• Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing goods for dispatch or storage


• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in materials handling and logistics operations


• Valid forklift certification with proven ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently


• Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred


• Mechanical knowledge or basic repair skills related to warehouse equipment is preferred


• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomic practices


• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately


• Experience in shipping \& receiving processes, including documentation and compliance requirements


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail


• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
