Salary: £28,980\.12 per year
Job Type: Full‑time – 39hrs per week

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our whisky maturation team. You’ll be responsible for safely moving, stacking, and organising casks throughout the warehouse, supporting the smooth running of daily maturation operations.

This is a physical, hands‑on role in a traditional bonded warehouse environment, ideal for someone with strong forklift experience and a commitment to safe working practices.

Candidates should possess relevant forklift certification and demonstrate mechanical aptitude alongside practical warehouse skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move and stack whisky casks safely


• Load and unload casks from vehicles and internal transport


• Transport casks between filling, disgorging, sampling, and storage areas


• Complete daily forklift safety checks and report issues


• Maintain accurate records of cask movements and stock locations


• Support cask handlers with filling and disgorging duties when required


• Support manual handling tasks when required


• Follow HMRC compliance procedures for bonded warehouses


• Uphold strict health \& safety standards


• Assist with general warehouse duties and housekeeping

• Valid forklift licence (counterbalance or rough‑terrain)


• Previous warehouse or logistics experience


• Experience in whisky or bonded warehouses (preferred)


• Comfortable with physical work and manual handling


• Strong awareness of safe working practices


• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Monday to Thursday – 8am to 5pm


• Friday – 8am to 1pm
