Night Shift Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail\-oriented Food Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clients food manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team within a fast\-paced environment, contributing to the optimisation of production efficiency and product excellence.
Duties
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of food production activities to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Oversee the utilisation of SAP and ERP systems to monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and supply chain logistics.
- Implement process improvements and continuous improvement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control protocols throughout all stages of production.
- Lead, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Maintain mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and minimise downtime.
- Monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and efficient inventory management.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross\-functional teams such as quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics to optimise overall operations.
- Drive assembly line optimisation efforts to improve throughput while maintaining high standards of product quality.
- Proven experience in food manufacturing or related industrial environments, with a strong understanding of production processes.
- Familiarity with SAP, ERP systems, and supply chain management tools is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to food processing equipment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in quality control procedures within a regulated environment is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams effectively.

Pay: £40,000\.00\-£48,000\.00 per year
