### **Team Lead \- Kilmacanogue

### **Job Description

We are looking for a Team Lead for our Kilmacanogue Foodhall on a full\-time permanent basis to assist the management team in store. The role of a team lead is to provide support for the wider management team, and to lead your Team in your department when a manager is absent. Duties include opening and closing duties of the Kilmacanogue Foodhall, assisting with day\-to\-day running of the store and supporting the management team in a variety of different ways.

### **The Team Lead's responsibilities include cash handling, cash reconciliation, assisting in running the daily employee breaks, customer service queries and supporting the management team in various different capacities. The ideal candidate should have experience within the food industry and have a proven track record of seeking responsibility.

### **Roles and Responsibilities

Customer Service \- Customers should be tended to with courtesy and respect at all times. Their satisfaction is paramount to our business, so a high level of customer service is required. A team lead would also deal with customer complaints in a satisfactory way, ensuring they are escalated appropriately.

Cash Handling and Reconciliation \- Performing end of day cash reconciliation and reporting, safe counts and cash drops.

Opening and closing duties as outlined by your line manager. Avoca values teamwork as a core responsibility for all staff, and a team lead is responsible for demonstrating good teamwork initiatives on opening or closing shifts where a manager is not present.

Up\-selling \- Offering advice, recommendations and alternatives to items that are sold out or unavailable in a subtle way, encouraging customers to browse, and offering information on all aspects of shop products.

Processing payments, competently taking refunds whilst delivering good customer service to offset faulty products etc.

Sales experience and working with food experience required.

### **Competencies

Customer Service \- Going above and beyond for the needs of the customer.

Timekeeping \- Adhere to the sick leave policy and absence policies, using correct notification methods.

Teamwork \- Working as part of a team to ensure business goals and objectives are met.

Flexibility \- The nature of the business is dependent on customer service which requires certain aspects of flexibility such as roster changes, cover on days that are short\-staffed that may be in different areas of the store.
