FOH Supervisor

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Front of House Supervisor to join the team at The Old Wharf Inn — a beautifully refurbished, independent pub located by the canal. Open seven days a week, we offer a wide selection of premium lagers, real ales, wines, and spirits in a welcoming and relaxed environment.

The Role

As a Front of House Supervisor, you will support the day\-to\-day running of the pub floor and bar, ensuring consistently high standards of service. You’ll be a role model for the team, helping to maintain a positive atmosphere while taking responsibility for key aspects of the operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise service across both bar and floor to ensure smooth, efficient operations


• Cash up tills accurately and securely at the end of shifts


• Lock up the premises when required, following all security procedures


• Manage bookings, including large parties and walk\-ins


• Train and support new and existing team members


• Delegate daily tasks to team members effectively and confidently


• Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet the needs of the business


• Provide excellent customer service and lead by example


• Ensure full compliance with all health \& safety and licensing regulations


• Liaise with kitchen and back of house teams to ensure smooth service flow

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a supervisory or senior front of house role in a similar environment


• Confident in handling cash, locking up procedures, and team management


• Organised, reliable, and able to remain calm under pressure


• A natural leader who can motivate and support others


• Passionate about hospitality and providing an exceptional guest experience


• Strong communication and problem\-solving skills
