Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic FOH Shift Manager to oversee daily front\-of\-house operations within a busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Lead and supervise front\-of\-house staff during shifts, ensuring smooth service delivery
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer flow to optimise efficiency
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, including food safety protocols
- Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative team environment
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front\-of\-house area in accordance with hygiene standards
- Support in organising staff schedules and training programmes to enhance team skills
- Uphold the establishment’s reputation through exceptional service standards and leadership
- Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, ideally with supervisory or managerial responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience in supervising teams within a fast\-paced setting such as restaurants or hotels
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and motivation
- Good communication skills to interact confidently with staff and customers
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or culinary roles is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous
- Experience in barista work or bar service can be beneficial but not essential
Pay: Up to £13\.71 per hour
