Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic FOH Shift Manager to oversee daily front\-of\-house operations within a busy hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for hospitality, team management, and culinary excellence to lead a vibrant team and contribute to the overall success of our establishment.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise front\-of\-house staff during shifts, ensuring smooth service delivery

  • Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards

  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and customer flow to optimise efficiency

  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, including food safety protocols

  • Assist with food production tasks when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods

  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure a positive experience

  • Monitor staff performance, provide coaching, and foster a collaborative team environment

  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front\-of\-house area in accordance with hygiene standards

  • Support in organising staff schedules and training programmes to enhance team skills

  • Uphold the establishment’s reputation through exceptional service standards and leadership
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, ideally with supervisory or managerial responsibilities

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations

  • Experience in supervising teams within a fast\-paced setting such as restaurants or hotels

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

  • Leadership qualities with a focus on team management and motivation

  • Good communication skills to interact confidently with staff and customers

  • Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or culinary roles is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations is advantageous

  • Experience in barista work or bar service can be beneficial but not essential
