Flooring Estimator & Showroom Consultant

Hudson Flooring is a design\-led independent flooring retailer based in Sevenoaks and an exclusive Amtico Retail One partner. Following continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced flooring professional to work alongside our existing senior sales and estimating lead, who manages the full customer journey from initial showroom consultation through to completed installation.

This is a senior, client\-facing position. The successful candidate will take ownership of their own customers from start to finish, working as an equal partner within the team.

Role requirements

This position is suited to candidates currently or recently working as an estimator within an independent flooring retailer. The ideal candidate will be conscientious, with a good eye for detail and comfortable working with discerning clients. The depth of product knowledge required for this role is such that relevant industry experience is essential, and applications from candidates outside the flooring trade are unlikely to be successful.

The role

The successful candidate will share responsibility for the complete customer journey, including:

• Consulting with customers in the showroom and advising on product selection


• Conducting on\-site measuring and technical surveys at customers' homes


• Preparing accurate quotations and specifications using Masterpiece or comparable estimating software


• Coordinating installations with our in\-house fitting team


• Managing aftercare and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the process

The role is split approximately half between showroom\-based work and on\-site surveying.

Essential experience

• Current or recent experience as a flooring estimator within an independent flooring retailer


• Demonstrable experience selling and delivering quality installations across our core product range:


• Amtico luxury vinyl tiles (essential — this is our flagship product as a Retail One partner)


• Engineered and solid wood flooring, including fully bonded installations


• Carpets and stair runners


• Luxury and bespoke rugs


• Proficiency with Masterpiece, MeasureSquare, or comparable estimating software


• Confident customer\-facing skills, both in the showroom and on\-site


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live surveys, quotations, and installations concurrently


• Full UK driving licence

Remuneration and benefits

• £37,000 basic salary


• Performance\-related bonus of 10% to 20% of basic salary, based on achievable profit\-linked targets (OTE up to £44,400\.00\)
